Having a day out somewhere can cost a lot of money, especially if you’ve got kids. Those 6 weeks of summer holidays can be mighty expensive can’t they?

So lets look at what you can expect to pay out on a day out to a tourist attraction.

  • Parking – £5
  • Entry Fee – £15 (x persons)
  • Animal Feed – £1 x each child.
  • Entry to “Extras” – £5 (x persons)
  • Small bottle of water – £4
  • Animal Feed (because your child spilled most of it and won’t stop crying) – £2 (it’s after 11am!)
  • Guided Tour – £6
  • One small cheese sandwich – £12 (it has cress on!)
  • Ice cream – £3 (x2 when your child drops the first one)
  • Attraction Membership – £30
  • Attraction Donation – £10
  • Children’s Rides – £8
  • Attraction Tacky Souvenir – £5
  • Attraction Collectable Souvenir – £50
  • Using the Toilet – 50p – £1 (depending on how long you are!)
  • Getting out of the bathroom facilities – £2
  • Terrifying your child informing them they are eating that cute animal they were petting outside – £30
